“Bed Bug Bonanza”
Friday, 22 January 2010 00:00
I have been thinking back on everything that has happened this last week, and I can’t seem to come up with any other way to label this last week than Bed Bug Bonanza. By the end of this week we will have completed sewing 472 beanie Bedbugs for the girls we meet on tour . Every single one is special and unique, and every one of them is made with love for the beautiful unique girls we meet on the road at our events. These bugs are created by our teams to encourage you and remind you that you are intentionally created and valued by God. There are many hours of work that go into the handmade Bedbugs, and without the help of many people they would have never been completed. Right now they are all sitting in the basement of the BUgirl Residence, just waiting to get into the hands of girls who adopt them. I named my Bedbug Bartholomew. He told me that he can’t wait for his brothers and sisters to end up in the hands of some very special girl out there. He keeps reminding me about how much God loves us and that He made each one so unique and special. In Psalm 139 it talks about how God's thoughts toward us outnumber the grains of sand!! That's a lot of thoughts! He also knows each star by name. What a cool God. He makes great stuff.
So from Bartholomew, myself, and all the other bed bugs just waiting to find a home, may you remember at the end of every day - God made you special and He loves you very much.
