“Stranded ”

This is the adventures of Katelyn and crew, also known as our drive back from the Breakforth Conference in Edmonton to Winnipeg.  Now, there are a few things you need to know about our trip back.  It should have taken us only about 14 hours. Well that’s where our adventure begins.

We left Edmonton at 11 in the morning, and everything was going good, or so we thought.  The roads were clear and as far as most of us knew the van was running well.  Looking back, none of us were really thinking about a few days prior when the van started making a bit of a noise.  It’s not that we didn’t notice it; it just didn’t seem to be that major because it just sounded like a wheel barring was going, which happens all the time.  As it turns out it was more major than we thought.  It was later discovered that our transmission was shot.  Basically, that meant that we were stranded in North Battleford, Saskatchewan with a broken van.  It was late and everything was closed, so we had to wait till morning to rent a van so that we could get back to Winnipeg, where we finally arrived 23 hours behind schedule on Wednesday at 3 in the morning. We were so greateful for the people who graciously shared their home with us!! Thank you so much!

So we were stranded, stayed the night with some kind people and eventually made our way home! Just another BUgirl adventure!
