So we decided to hang out at a cabin for a retreat to get to know eachother before the tour. Here's a picture of Kassie Tyers (she's on staff and is a recording artist that we work with) driving down with us. It was a lot of fun. Swimming...learning about tour life...fun times. I am so pumped to tour...you have NO idea!! AHHH!!! I can't wait to meet all of you:)

Amazing Race

 So we decided to have an Amazing Race with the girls that we are touring with this year to get to know the amazing city of Winnipeg. It was awesome!! I was at the end of the race with Karissa (the girls had to find us) it 'twas lots of fun:) While we waiting for everyone Karissa and I went to the Bay and sat in some of those massage chairs. So relaxing...ah...Fun Times!!! We also went to Tim Hortons that day...lots of fun.

So in Winnipeg we have been having a lot of fun getting ready for tour. This year I am going on tour with an organization called Beautiful Unique Girl and I'll be singing and speaking to young girls about the importance of a healthy self-esteem. There are two teams of girls living in the house together. A total of 12 girls are here in the house. Two of the girls work with the staff and then there are two teams of five traveling across the country. One of the things that we have been trying to do is be super healthy for tour...getting our exercise, sleep and supplements. Oh, fun times...we've been working with an exercise video called "The 30 Day Shred" pretty awesome...your muscles hurt...a lot. I will admit that I haven't always been the best with being healthy...but I'm trying. Here's some of our team getting pumped up for our healthy kick. :)

This weekend was a whole lot of fun!! I had a few good friends come and stay with me from the BUgirl tours...Jesselyn, Kassie, and Korrie. It was a whole lot of fun. We watched some movies, sang karaoke, went keyboard shopping (I'll keep you up to date on the progress of that) and I got a new iPhone-AWESOME!!

The Most Talent Family Ever

Okay, maybe I am a little biased...but I think my family is absolutely amazing!! I love them so very much.

Yesterday was an absolutely amazing day!!! My cousin (she's also my goddaughter) Kenzie and I went for a picnic and a nature walk. Kenzie just got accepted in a competition to have a short story published!!!! She's just 11 years old. I love the creativity she has and generous and kind heart. I am so blessed to have her in my life. I am also so proud of her as a godmother. She has a spiritual maturity that far exceeds her age. Love her!!!

 “Let’s start at the very beginning; a very good place to start . . .”

June 27th we had a BUgirl fundraiser and it went great!! We had a good turn out and Arlen Salte (my dad) and the Junkyard Poets did amazing!! We were really blessed to get an amazing lighting system set-up for the concert. It was great to have such an amazing support from my family and friends. I love them all so much!!!

Another thing that was really exciting was I just got a new Roland 300 GX keyboard and a Gator case for it! I also was able to get an iPhone. This is all going to help me go my job effectively when I leave to go on tour in a week.

But that's not all!!! I also finally received my CDs in the mail yesterday. The "Pockets Full of Posie" CD have arrived!! And then, of course, there is the fact that I started to get radio airplay in Newfoundland and Ontario!! I still haven't heard the single on the radio yet because I am in Alberta. Hopefully it comes to this side of the country soon. :)
