Camrose...CLBI...Back to the Beginning

I must admit that Camrose has always been a very pivotal city to my family. It was at CLBI that my parents first met...it is also there that my father started his own ministry...so I always love coming to Camrose. This particular event we got to go to CLBI (Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute) which is where a previous BUgirl, Jesselyn Alexander, was going to Bible school. I definitely loved seeing her again and meeting all of the other amazing people there at the college.

Okay, our Saskatchewan and Alberta tour has been so much fun this week. I just had to add an additional blog to fill you all in on the new happenings. This past week I had a lovely girl come up to me after a Beautiful Unique Gurl event and come to talk to me. At first I thought it was fairly normal and straight forward conversation. She asked me about songwriting and she mentioned how she had been writing a lot of music. I then asked her what types of songs she wrote and she said most of her songs were about the struggles she was going through. So we started to talk about that in a deeper way. She shared how she had just had a baby just a few months ago and how it was hard being a teenager mom and how she wanted to start bringing her baby to church. She had never been to church before. It was so cool to be able there to talk with the girls at the events and about things they are going through.

I'm continuing to pray for her and all the other girls we meet along the road. We've just recently started a prayer journal in our van...we are writing down the prayer requests of the girls we meet in the journal so that we can make sure that we can pray for them everywhere we go.

God will always be faithful...forever faithful!!!

On the Wild Frontier

Okay, I just got to say...I missed tour. And I'm talking about REALLY missing it. This is what I was created to do and I feel so complete right now. We have been having an amazing time this week. We've had girls hang out with us and make us icecream floats...yummy...and we've been able to talk to girls about the challenges they go through. One of the mothers from one of our events this week prayed for us. WOW...I feel so filled right now!!!

I could go on forever...but right now I want to share with you about Frontier, SK. I was so excited to be able to share with the girls about the challenges...and when it was time to go...the girls didn't want to leave...we didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay there forever. Another great thing aobut SK was that I was able to hang out with my Auntie Jance and Uncle Lorne. What fun. I don't often get to see them so it was a special treat. Frontier you will be in my heart forever. I love you so much. Never forget how amazing you really are!!

Break Forth Canada

What can I say? I love the Break Forth Canada Conference. It has been a part of my life since the very beginning. Since the first Break Forth Canada Conference my family has organized...unto today...it has had a very special place in my heart. There is something very beautiful about having people from all over Canada and from every denomination imaginable come together to worship God and be equipped in ministry. I am exceptionally fond of it because of the amazing volunteers and staff that put this event together. It is so much fun to work together with some of my greatest and closest friends.

But this year was very different from normal. This year I have also been working together with an organization called Beautiful Unique Girl and I have been touring as an artist and speaker for the ministry. So instead of me just running the sales department of Break Forth Canada...I was also able to take my touring team with Beautiful Unique Girl to visit the conference and experience another piece of my heart. WOW!!! I feel so privileged to be able to work with two of the greatest music ministries in Canada.

This year at Break Forth Canada I also got to play some music at the Spirit Street Stage. What fun!!! This will always be a highlight for me.

I love each and every one that came to Break Forth Canada. I love you more then you will ever know. I am willing to go on little...to no sleep...just for you...because I believe in the ministry that God is calling you to...and I get excited about the opportunity to be a small part of your ministry.

New Years...New Resolutions

Well, I guess that now is the time when we all try to grow a little. I will admit that I haven't always been the type of girl to make a new years resolution. Sometimes the skeptic in me wins. However, there have been times when I have followed through on a resolution. There are so many options when trying to choose a resolution. Do I try to be healthier? Focusing more time on friends, family, and God? For me...I hope that this year will be a year of growth and learning to balance myself...building those relationships, being healthier (and allowing myself grace to indulge a little). That maybe too big of a goal...or maybe not. Maybe life has to do with the journey more. Growing little by little. Taking one step forward every year.

With that being said...I would love to know what you goals are this year.

Well, Christmas is starting to get closer and as a team we are getting ready to head home at the end of this week. There's a lot of debriefs and meetings this week...as we are constantly trying to challenge ourselves.

I tell my team often...that when I went on this touring adventures with Beautiful Unique Girl...I knew that I would spend time serving girls across Canada...but I never thought that God would bless me with such an amazing team. That has totally blown me away!!! How lucky am I?

Well I hope you all enjoy your time with your families this weekend!!!

Back to the Beginning...in Melfort, SK

So I've got to say...I am so happy that our adventures in Saskatchewan started in Melfort. I just found out that Melfort, SK is where my father was born. It was so much fun to meet this amazing city.

But that's not all!!! I also got to go to one of churches there and help the ladies bake pies for their Fall Supper...YUM.

Well, I loved the people of Melfort...it was a joy to meet each and every one of you.
