Kittens

Friday, 12 March 2010 00:00

Ok, so last night I went to the vet, and my friend Cyndi who works there showed me the CUTEST 10-day-old kittens ever! The poor pregnant momma cat got dropped off about 2 weeks ago at Pet Land because her owners didn’t want to take care of the babies. Thank goodness Best Friends Animal Hospital is looking after them! Here is a picture of me holding one of the little baby newborns!

Youth Quake

Sunday, 21 February 2010 00:00

I just got back from an amazing youth conference in Caronport, Sk at Briercrest College, called Youth Quake! I went with the BU girl Beach Team and we did 4 workshops and met some awesome girls.  It was amazing! I got to hang out with some of the most amazing people, sing and speak, and spend time with my awesome team Jenn, Natalie B, Natalie E and Linnea! Plus, I got to see my teammate from last year – Nadine! What a highlight to my trip!

Matt Maher was the worship leader for the weekend, and if you have never heard his song Alive Again, check it out on you tube, it is an amazing song! This is the chorus:

You called and you shouted broke through my deafness

Now I’m breathing in and breathing out I’m alive again!

You shattered my darkness washed away my blindness

Now I’m breathing in and breathing out I’m alive again!

This song probably impacted me the most over the whole weekend! Let me know what you think of it!

What a Challenge

Thursday, 18 February 2010 00:00

I am reading this amazing book called When God Writes Your Love Story by Leslie and Eric Ludy. It is extremely inspiring and challenging. Here's the challenge I'm taking from it: For those of use who are single, how would you act if your future husband (or if you are a guy, wife) was with you wherever you went? They could hear everything you say, see everything you watch, hear everything you listen to and see how you treat people (especially the opposite sex)! I want to honour my future husband in everything I do and say, so I am taking up a challenge! I am going to pretend he is sitting there with me every day, and even though I don’t even know who he is yet, I am going to honour and love him before we get married by making respectful decisions NOW. I have saved my first kiss for him and made that decision in grade 7, but it goes so much beyond that for me now. What about the things I am thinking about, the tv I watch, music I listen to et cetera…  Its pretty extreme I know, but I am excited about it and I know that when I meet him, he will appreciate the decisions I am making now.

I Guess That Would Be My Fault!

Wednesday, 08 April 2009 18:00

Today was quite interesting! As I walked to the van to get some extra cds, I couldn't help but notice OUR VAN WAS MISSING! I have never done an event at a church downtown until today, and parking was next to impossible!

My Hawaiian guitar

Thursday, 19 March 2009 18:00

I have always loved the Hawaiian guitar! The music it makes is so relaxing and makes you feel like you are on a tropical island wherever you are. I have wanted to buy one for a long time now! Sine we are in Winnipeg, our home base, till after Easter,

Freedom

Thursday, 05 March 2009 18:00

The Beach Party Team’s theme, as many of you know, is walking in freedom. I used to have a very distorted view of what freedom really is but am now starting to learn a lot more. If there were a few things I could add to the night about walking in freedom I would add this...

Life in a Stinky Van...

Tuesday, 17 February 2009 18:00

Well, as some people would guess, driving hundreds of hours a year together, after eating different types of foods, there are a great deal of scents in our van. Sometimes they come from the exterior, but most often they come from within.

TRAIN RIDE BACK TO WINNIPEG

Friday, 02 January 2009 18:00

This Christmas I went back home to Ontario. I visited family all over, Bracebridge, Newmarket, Ottawa and Sudbury. It was nice to see family and my mom saw me off at the train station at 5 am January 2nd.
