We recorded Hallelujah first. It was really encouraging because Jordan, the guy who does all that fancy producing stuff and Malynda would explain what to do or like how to sing something or suggest different techniques for things. So that was really cool and beneficial. I bet you i sang the song like 15 times if not more. Not even kidding. But in little chunks at a time. We almost finished the main vocals until the little end part of the song. It wasn’t really that ‘fresh’ anymore if ya get what i mean. So we decided to leave that part for the next day.Day Two. Since i knew what i was in for already, nothing could faze me. Hahaha. I was excited to go back into the studio. It’s really cool to see your songs take shape. I feel so blessed to be able to record! We finished off Hallelujah and started and finished the main vocals on Bring You Praise. I had a cup of hot water and honey with me so i’d sip it between singing and all of a sudden...my water was...gone. I didn’t want to run all the way back upstairs to get some more honey and water because that would take too long. So i ended up settling for some tap water from the washroom. Let me tell you. That was a gross and unexpected taste! Haha. But it worked and we finished the song!
Sustaineyville. You’re probably thinking...what?! Yes. Don’t worry! Me too! I don’t know why but all of a sudden, Jordan said something about keeping your voice in sustaineyville...and i was like “sustaineyville??? ...What's that?!” Apparently it means to keep the note sustained or to hold it for a longer period of time. Haha. I laughed. That’s a really funny word! I’ll be sure to use that one sometime!
That's it! Two days of recording fun done. I’m so excited...and i just can’t hide it...
